About

The re-imaging story based around the books of, L. Frank Baum, Gregory Maguire and Winnie Holzman.  The first production will see if I can create the feel which I'm after which will be an Narrative / Musical.

Production Diary

Early 2009 - Reclaimed interest in "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" and "Wicked"

8th April 2009 - Went to London's Apollo theatre to see "Wicked" with my Daughter

May 2009 - Began working on the concept for "Wicked Oz"

October 2009 - Released the first teaser for "Wicked Oz".  At that time due to personal reasons there was no sign it would ever be completed.

December 2009 - "Review 2009" was released and an unexpected interest in "Wicked Oz" sparked me back onto the project.

January 2010 - Began the project again, this time taking time out to work on the music for the musical.

2nd February 2010 - Started a production page on this website and introduced a forum thread at Reallusion - http://forum.reallusion.com/Topic39692-36-1.aspx

21st February 2010 - Added this production diary to my website - UPDATE: 3 songs composed and recorded. 2 covers still to record.

3rd March 2010 - Finished and uploaded the first "Making Of" video above and also to the internet - http://www.youtube.com/user/capemedia

Episode 1 - The Rainbow

- Script (50%) - Parts 3 of 5 are written just need to complete the final parts.

- Music Songs (60%) - "One of These Days", "Hope" and "Wicked Oz Theme" written and recorded.  Two covers are now in production.

- Asset Building (40%) - iClone characters, models and sets in production.

- Animation (30%) - Some animation has been done.

- Post Production (10%) - A few special FX shots have been completed.

- Score (0%) - Not started yet.

- Editing (0%) - Not started yet.
